1996 Dan Marino Game Worn, Signed Custom Nike Miami Dolphins Cleat - Worn After Achilles Injury. While heading into the 1993 NFL season, Dan Marino and his Dolphins were a heavy favorite to make it back to the AFC Championship Game, and possibly the Super Bowl. However, after throwing a short pass at a game in Cleveland, Marino, who wasn't even touched on the play, fell to the ground with a torn Achilles tendon. Presented here is the custom Nike cleat, which was worn in many games by the Hall of Fame great after the infamous injury. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, it has the proper "size 13 Promo" tag in the interior. Signed on each side by Marino in perfect black sharpie, it can be easily photomatched to multiple images in the mid 1990's. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
