Mike Schmidt was a twelve-time All-Star and a three-time winner of the National League Most Valuable Player award, and he was known for his combination of power hitting and strong defense: as a hitter, he compiled 548 home runs and 1,595 RBIs, and led the NL in home runs eight times and in RBIs four times. As a fielder, Schmidt won the National League Gold Glove Award for third basemen ten times. Schmidt was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995 and is often considered the greatest third baseman in baseball history

One thing is for sure is that he went hard every play during every game. He even took batting practice seriously. This “Rawlings size 46 (with 2” extra length) pullover was worn by Schmidt when he was at the top of his game with the Phillies. The burgundy pullover has its identifiers applied in single-color white tackle twill. The front has the classic Phillies logo across the chest and the sleeves include “20” in small font. The back of the shirt showcases his name “SCHMIDT” and jersey number “20” (also sewn-on in single stitch white) Overall, shows some signs of wear with loose threading and malleable tagging. Schmidt autographed the back number in red felt tip pen (“9”).
