Here's a game-worn 2012 jersey from Miguel Cabrera, arguably the greatest player in baseball, that has a lot going for it. We'll start with its MLB ironclad authentication linking it to Games Three and Four of the American League Championship Series that year, which also happens to be Cabrera's Triple Crown and MVP masterpiece season. The able authentication experts at MEARS have added their blessings to all these proceedings as well, anointing the artifact with an unstoppable MEARS A10 designation that obviously leaves no room for improvement. Then there's a lengthy and detailed autograph and inscription from the eventual Hall of Famer himself, carefully inscribed on his No. 4 of his "24" on the back of the home shirt. That should be enough verification for anybody, but, as they say, wait, there's more. The jersey is photo matched to the October 29 cover photograph of Sports Illustrated magazine. Not sure that even a signed affidavit from the Vatican could enhance the provenance of this treasure. Given all that the rudimentary details almost seem redundant, but here we go: the front of the tail has the Majestic tagging directly above an embroidered " 24 50 '12 816" team tag below. The Majestic small Cool Base tag appears on the outside of the left seam and the embroidered logo is on the left sleeve. Though we've covered the question of game use, we'll go ahead and say that it shows excellent game use. As noted, Cabrera signed the "4" of his No. 24 on the back in silver Sharpie, adding 2012 MVP/Triple Crown" and "Game Worn Games 3-4"; the vaunted Major League Baseball hologram (EK287798) is affixed to the lower portion of the number 4. There wouldn't seem to be much left to say, except maybe, "Holy Cow." Oops, wrong announcer, but you get the idea.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. LOA from MEARS (Grade A10). MLB Authenticated. Photo Matched to Sports Illustrated Cover!
