This 1996-97 Houston Rockets jersey was worn by Hakeem Olajuwon during the 1996-97 regular season. The jersey is properly tagged with the team name as well as the player name “OLAJUWON” across the back and the player number “34”. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered in gold for the NBA’s 50th Season. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of regular game use. It has been graded MEARS A5. The Rockets blasted off to a 21–2 start this season, and ultimately finished second in the Midwest Division with a 57–25 record. Selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, Olajuwon won back-to-back Championships and NBA Finals MVP awards (1994, 1995) as a member of the Rockets. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008
