Offered is an incredible 2003-04 Los Angeles Lakers game used “throwback” jersey worn by defensive point guard Gary Payton. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use. On the front left tail is a Nike size 50 manufacturer’s tag, and attached below is a “LENGTH +4” flap tag. the left inseam bears a “100% POLYESTER” tag with washing instructions and a “Nike 2003-04” tag. On the left chest is an embroidered official NBA logo with “Los Angeles” in script across the chest. Payton’s player number “20” appears on the front and on the back, with his name properly placed across the back. All numbering and lettering are done in the same white on baby blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the blue jersey. Payton was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. He was the only point guard ever to win the Defensive Player of the Year and is widely regarded as the best defensive point guard in NBA history.
