Offered is a Tennessee Titans game-used white road jersey worn by running back Eddie George in two games during the 2001 NFL regular season. The Reebok jersey is properly tagged and in our opinion shows signs of appropriate game use including game repairs on the shoulders. George is known to have worn this jersey on December 9, 2001, as the Titans took on the Minnesota Vikings at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in an interconference game. (George scored the first touchdown of the game in the first quarter to give Tennessee a 7-0 lead). He again donned the garment on December 22, 2001, as they topped the Oakland Raiders at Network Associates Coliseum by a 13-to-10 final.
George was the 1995 Heisman Trophy recipient, the 1996 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, a four-time Pro Bowler (1997-2000), and a first-team All-Pro (2000). He was drafted in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft, and spent nine seasons in the league — all but one with the Titans (and their predecessor, the Houston/Tennessee Oilers).
