This pair of white Everlast Muhammad Ali boxing trunks, with black trim, date to the former heavyweight champion's days in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania, when he was training for some of his most celebrated fights against the likes of Joe Frazier, George Foreman, and Ken Norton. They are custom-made exclusively by Everlast for use by Muhammad Ali only and were not available to the general public or for sale in any other manner. The trunks feature a special Everlast label reading "Made Expressly for Muhammad Ali." Documented Muhammad Ali fight-worn garments are extremely rare. For that reason, sparring trunks and/or robes, which are also extremely rare, usually represent the only alternative for those wishing to own a significant piece of history actually worn by and relating to the legendary career of Muhammad Ali. The trunks display excellent wear with yellowing and staining throughout. The trunks are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Ali's assistant trainer Wali Muhammad and an additional letter of authenticity from the IBA (International Boxing Association) signed by the Vice President of the IBA Bob Case.
