Presented is a remarkable black road jersey and shorts worn by Allen Iverson during the 2002-03 Philadelphia 76ers’ postseason run. In our opinion this item appears to show characteristics of game use, with the jersey displaying loose threads and puckering on the sewn numbers and letters from multiple game use. Furthermore, the garments have been photo-matched to two games during the 2003 Eastern Conference Semifinals series versus the Detroit Pistons. It has been matched to May 6 contest in which Iverson had 27 points, with eight assists and three rebounds, and May 8 match-up in which he had 31 points, seven assists and three steals. The Reebok jersey is appropriately sized 44 +4” length with the Sixers’ logo and number “3” on the chest and his jersey number and the player name “IVERSON” on the back. It has been signed on the back “3” in black Sharpie. The shorts are size 44 +1” inseam, +1” rise. Accompanied by an Iverson Collection LOA as well as a James Spence LOA.

For the first time in his career, Iverson played a full 82-game season during this campaign, and the led the league in minutes played per game (42.5) and steals per game (2.7) while averaging 27.6 points per game. He was instrumental in helping the Sixers regroup following the All-Star break to make the playoffs with a 48-34 record, defeating the New Orleans Hornets in the opening round of the playoffs. In the a six-game second round series, however, the 76ers would be eliminated by the Pistons.
